About the workshop
Due to the recent drift of technology and enhanced computation power (using GPU’s) this new paradigm of deep learning-based architectures got extensively explored. These architectures have been exploited by all communities to solve almost all types of computer vision as well as image processing problems. Algorithms must be implemented over GPU enabled systems, to be optimized over very high dimensional parametric space. Recently, in all top-tier conferences like CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NIPS, ICLR huge amount of work has been presented to exploit the power of CNN, RNN, Autoencoders, GANS and other related deep learning architecture to solve problem in the domain of Computer Vision, Image Processing, Speech Processing, NLP etc. This was a practical oriented workshop which will cover extensive hands-on sessions on Deep Learning.
About the Instructor
Aditya Nigam
Deep LearningI have received my Masters (M.Tech) and Doctoral (Ph.D) degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2009 and 2014 respectively. Presentely I am working as an Assistant Professor at IIT Mandi, HP in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering (SCEE). I have joined this School during August 2014 as a Teaching Fellow. I am working in the area of Biometrics, Image Processing, Computer Vision and Machine Learning. I am looking for self motivated MS, Ph.D students willing to work in my research domain as mentioned below.

Deep Learning, Biometrics, Medical Image Processing & its Analysis, Image Processing, Computer Vision & Machine Learning.
