At IIT Mandi iHub and HCi Foundation, we are proud to partner with Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) to provide a range of skill development courses aimed at enhancing the employability and capabilities of the youth in Himachal Pradesh. Our mission is to empower individuals with the skills and knowledge required to excel in today’s dynamic job market.
Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) is a state government initiative dedicated to the development and enhancement of vocational skills among the youth of Himachal Pradesh. By offering a variety of training programs, HPKVN aims to bridge the skill gap, promote entrepreneurship, and create sustainable employment opportunities across various sectors. As of now we are glad to offer these courses:
1. Surya Mitra PV Installer:
Eligibility criteria: 10th pass + ITI (1 year) (Electrical/Electronics/Civil/ Mechanical/ Fitter/Instrumentation/Welder or any related trade) Or Diploma after class 10th (Government recognized 3 years Diploma (Electrical/ Mechanical/Civil/Agriculture/ Electronics & Communication / Control & Instrumentation or in a related discipline) Or 12th Pass with Science Or 10th grade pass and pursuing continuous schooling Or 10th Pass with 2 years of Experience Or NSQF level 3 certified in relevant job role with 2 years of relevant experience.
Minimum Age: 16 years
Module 1: Introduction to Solar PV Installer Course |
Module 5: Site Survey for Installation of Solar PV System and asses the customer’s Solar PV Requirement |
Module 9: Maintain Solar Photovoltaic Power System |

Module 7: Installation of Electrical components of a Solar PV System |
Module 11: Completion and Handover Documentation |
Module 4: Identification and Use of different tools and tackles used for installation of solar PV system |
Module 8: Test and Commission Solar PV system |
Module 12: Employability Skill |
1. Solar Lighting Assembler:
Eligibility criteria: 12th grade Pass with NA of experience OR 10th grade pass (plus 2 year NTC) with NA of experience OR 10th grade pass and pursuing continuous schooling with NA of experience OR 10th grade pass (plus 1 year NTC plus 1 year NAC/ ) with NA of experience OR 10th grade pass with 2 Years of experience relevant OR 8th grade pass (plus 2 year NTC plus 1 year NAC plus CITS ) OR Completed 2nd year of the 3-year diploma after 10 (and pursuing regular diploma) OR Previous relevant Qualification of NSQF Level (3.0 with minimum education as 8th grade pass with 3 years of experience) .

3. Solar PV Installer (Electrical):
